Hi Everyone,
I tried to send this out a few days ago, but I don't think it got out. I'd
like to hear form others on this problem. I haven't written for a while, so
I'll recap for those who don't know me. I was diagnosed with TM about 2 1/2
years ago. I have a lesion at C2-3. I consider myself one of the lucky ones
because I've had no paralysis. Because of the other symptoms I've experienced
and three pinpoint lesions seen on my brain , they are calling it TM/probable
MS. Here is my dlemma. My hands have been numb since this all began. A while
back my doc said it could be carpal tunnell along with the TM. I also have two
cervical herniated discs.I've been waking in the night with a horrible numbing
pain in my arms and hands. I went for another EMG last week. The doc says
nerves in my hands and arms are not "firing" and I should try carpal tunnel
surgery.
Has anyone else had similar problems? Also, Gunny told me chiropractors do a
laser surgery for release of the carpal tunnel. I can't find anyone in the
Boston area who will do it. My neuro has recommended a hand surgeon. I'm
uncertain about what to do. I'm scheduled for knee surgery in March because I
fell again again and damaged an already bad knee. I'm sick of surgery!!!
Gunny, sorry to hear of your newest round of troubles. Remember me? Wife of
former Marine. now cop??
