Hello Lauren, I was much older (41) when I got TM, but like you had no
real warning signs. The day before I had some pretty sharp back pain,
but I attributed it to the fact that I had played 18 holes of golf in
the morning and in the afternoon had lifted 3 - 30 ft garage walls
helping my dad and others in building a new garage. I had thrown my back
out a couple of times before and thought I had just over done it. The
next morning I went to work on a Mon. and seemed fine until about 8:00
a.m. when I felt a numbing in my buttocks. soon severe pain shot down
through my legs, It felt like hot pokers being shot down my legs, which
lasted about 10 to 15 min. then I was left with no feeling from the
waist down! In listening to the list it seems like everyone is a little
different in how they contacted TM. Well you seem to have grown up and
handled eveything pretty well, I too have just got hand controls
installed on my s-10 pick-up and am back to working full time! Hang in
