Hi Karen,
Not knowing you or your daughter I hesitate to advise but I think you
should have a long talk with your daughter and explain what is going
on. She is old enough to hear the truth. I'm sure she has a lot of
questions, and probably a lot of misconceptions, about everything that
has been happening.
The two of you can really help each other. Try to make this a positive
thing where your relationship with her is concerned.
Things you don't know are scarier than those you do know. Sometimes
the things we imagine are far more frightening than the reality. This
may be a good time for some healing for both of you.
