I tried accupuncture with no appreciable results - others may have had
better luck. Ann

Hi all,
Just wondering, has anyone been told that it is necessary to have a
spinal tap, or a myelogram, to eliminate MS totally as a diagnosis? My
neurologist, who is an MS specialist, told me that MRI's are so good
today, that the myelogram was not necessary. He is the dr. who
diagnosed me w/TM, but I still wonder sometimes if I should go for the
myelogram.
To be totally honest, I'm afraid of getting a spinal tap. I have so
many problems dealing with the pain from the TM, I just have a fear that
it will worsen things somehow.
I AM however, seriously considering acupuncture for pain relief. I have
never had acupuncture before, and plan to talk to my doctor first. Any
feelings about this for relief of TM related pain, or other symptoms?
thanks friends,
Kevin
