update & hello

Hi again everyone! I just got home from being institutionalized last
night. I spent the last 5 days getting IV antibiotics trying to cure my
first UTI, and will continue for 7 more days getting IV's from home
health. It seems I just can't stay out of those darn hospitals! I too,
had heard about Al Unser Jr's 12 year old duaghter having TM on ESPN
yesterday and was chomping at the bit to get on here and tell everyone,
but decided first to read some of the 147 e-mails I had when I got in to
see if anyone else had allready spread the news. I should have known
that this group was all over it allready! It really is sad to hear about
so many new cases, especially about young children, but maybe this will
be the high profile name we need to get more people aware of our cause
and for more grants and research! It kind of blew me away to think that
I had never heard of TM in my 42 years until I was DX on 10-1-98 and now
I was hearing about it on ESPN. Well I will include Cody in my prayers
along with Gunny and all the rest of you wonderfull people, who have
given me such warm support with open arms!

Alan, where yesterday the temp was 70, and the wind was gail force out
of the south and today it's about 40 with even stronger wind out of the
north and a prediction for snow. Only in Kansas!!!
