I was told that TM was many times a diagnosis by exclusion, with viral being a
leading speculation.
Of interesting note, my father is an insulin dependent diabetic, which is an
autoimmune process caused by a virus which attacked the "isles of Langerhans
sp?) cells of the pancreas, making it impossible for him to produce insulin.
The virus that caused his diabetes is also listed as a culprit with the TM
association. Interesting thought.
