Dear friends,
today I just want to tell you a story.
Yesterday I went to my friend's sister to take her all your messages and I
found her psychologically destroyed.
She told me she spoke with a doctor that told her that everything her sister
thinks to feel, she doesn't really feel it, she just imagines it, because
the exams show that nothing has changed in the last three weeks.
Now, I don't really know what she feels or doesn't feel, but don't you think
doctors should give her family a support, instead of terrifying them with
these sentences? How can they know what she feels, if they even don't know
what her disease is like precisely?
Has anyone had a similar experience with doctor? Can they go wrong?
Love
Roberta

Hi Roberta,
A doctor isn't infallable and can be wrong! If the other Roberta says she
can feel, then she does feel. A neurosurgeon had a family meeting with all of
us about my father's condition. The surgeon made the comment that dad could
move a toe on one foot but didn't know it. Dad was trying to recover from a
broken neck from an auto accident. I challenged the surgeon because I knew for
a fact, that my dad could move his big toe when I asked him to. The surgeon
looked as though he swallowed a lump in his throat and didn't respond because
he knew that I knew what I saw. I don't know why,but doctors can make
mistakes! There's good ones and bad ones! Some admit mistakes, but some
wouldn't in a zillion years!
warm regards,
Phil
