This is Mykella again. I have been unable to check my email for about 5
weeks now so I missed all the messages until now (when I finally did log
in, I had 1264 waiting - my computer was not happy ;-)
I am still in the hospital. I was finally transferred to U of Miami
which is where I have been since 1/17. For the two weeks prior I was
very ill with a blood infection (from my central line) and unable to log
in then. Whew...I am now entering my 4th month in one hospital or
another. The drs pretty much agree now that the "paralysis" of my
stomach and intestines is caused by tm. My stomach simply will not
empty, so I have one tube drainong the stomach (gastrostomy tube) and
another one feeding me about 2 feet into my intestines(jejunostomy
tube). They will now tell me when or if I may be able to eat again and
as much as I hate to admit it, that is really startinmg to get to me
but! My friends brought my computer down this weekend so at least I can
communicate with all of you...an that has raised my spirits immensely.
