Dearest Doc and THE GANG,

I have had several requests about herbs, etc., for fatigue. Ginseng would be
one herb I take for that and many other reasons. I can send much more info on
Ginseng if anyone is interested. Rick's (with TM) wife Jeanette and I hunt
Ginseng during the fall. We live in Tennessee and our ginseng is very rare
and most popular overseas if they can afford it. Daniel Boone was a
"wildcrafter" as well and the Indians, etc., found out how much it was worth.
There was over-wildcrafting for profit and therefore Tennessee and a very few
other states still even have Ginseng at all. FYI! Interesting to me because
my Grandfather wanted to die in the hills hunting and did, hunting Ginseng
that day. It has been and will remain a family tradition. He always would
leave the 2 or 3 prong plants "for the grandkids". I leave the ones I find
for my Grandkids! Good thing! I just found out I'm gonna be a first time
Grandma!
Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers! Renae

Dearest Philis and THE GANG, Rick can't take because of high blood pressure
but anyone who doesn't have high BP might want to check it out after
consulting with your consulting person. Ginseng does a lot more than the
below. Much too much to tell here or anywhere besides a book!
Hoping this finds you well!
For fatigue: Ginseng: curbs emotions, stops agitation, removes noxious
influence, brightens eyes, enlightens the mind and increases wisdom.
Continuous use leads one to longevity with light weight. Ginseng use has
changed little in 2,000 years.

Also, it's good for encreasing respiratory performance, alertness, power of
concentration, and grasp of abstract concepts; and improved visual and motor
coordination.

Recent studies have focused on antiviral and metabolic effects, antioxidant
activity, and effects on nervous and reproductive systems.

American Ginseng helps to reduce the heat of the respiratory and digestive
systems, whereas the stronger Asian ginseng is a heat raising tonic for the
blood and circulatory systems.

Used to treat fatigue, lack of concentration, convalescence and reduced work
capacity in Germany.

****CAUTIONS***** Use at normal dosage levels is generally not associated with
side effects; however, some persons have experienced overstimulation or
gastrointestinal upset and some women have reported breast tenderness or
menstrual problems with long term use. If you have high blood pressure, use
ginseng with caution. Avoid ginseng use during pregnancy!
