Hi, Peter. I have a couple of answers to your questions. YEs, my symptoms do
come and go and vary in severity. When they are flaring up they are most
likely to be at their worst when I am tired or stressed. I just had another
MRI because I have new symptoms but I still only have 1 lesion. My Neuro has
upgraded me from TM with "possible" MS to "probable" MS. As far as the old
symptoms coming and going, she said that is something that can't be predicted
but that if they come back stronger than they were the 1st time then I need to
call.

My neuro says she can not treat with the "MS DRUGS" such as avonex until I
have another lesion! That's o.k. My symptoms are bothersome and sometimes
cause me to miss a day or 2 of work every couple of weeks but the drugs might
not even help with that so I am more than o.k. with not trying them yet. I
have also been offered Neurontin for the tingling and numbness but they don't
help with fatigue or muscle pain so I opt not to do them yet. My major
problem is the fatigue and also muscle weakness/fatigue in my legs
(originally) and my arms (just in last couple months).

I hope this helps! Where is your herniated disk? My lesion is at c2-3 ( I
think - can't keep that straight). I have a friend on-line who has MS but she
was diagnosed a few years ago (only about 5) even though she had no lesions on
her MRI.

All my best to you!

nite!LOL)
