GOOD MORNING

Hello All,
First, no word from the doctor yet on test results. Probably today.
Now, more importantly--the 'upbraiding' message I received was from a
very upset person and we are working that out personally. They now
know that I was not making light of life and death situations, only
poking fun at myself.
I do appreciate all the messages of support, but I am not angry, upset
or discouraged by all this. Maybe this was my opportunity to help
someone else learn to cope with the adversities that life throws at
all of us. It just occurred to me yesterday that someone else may have
gotten the same impression.
Ok, enough of that. My husband has diabetic neuropathy in his feet
and legs. The bed linens caused discomfort for him. I checked into
an aluminum frame to raise them and, quite honestly, couldn't see
paying that price. We made the same thing with 1/2" PVC pipe for about
a fourth the price! I can't figure out how to describe it to you with-
out drawing a picture but it looked like a frame for a box with one
open side. Medical supply stores usually carry the aluminum ones so
maybe (if you need something like this) you can look at one there.
Another inexpensive article we found useful when my daughter (the one
with TM) was in the wheelchair and hospital bed was the foam rubber
tubes made to insulate pipes. It works great on bed rails or any hard
surface that is an irritation. We had to keep the bed rails up for
Mandy for quite a while and she simply hated bumping into them all the
time. The foam padding helped.
Speaking of Mandy, she is on her way home from NY right now. It will
be great to have her back. And especially to have my grandson back
here. He's a little con man, I think destined to be a used car salesman
or a politician!! (<:
Alice, who is having a great day because I looked in the mirror this
morning and I'm still here!!!
