Good Morning,
My sincerest thanks to all of you for your concern. I saw my doctor
yesterday afternoon. He wasn't too concerned about the chest pain,
I've had that for more years than I czre to think about and have taken
daily medication for at least 15 years. He was concerned about the
passing out and the seizure, which I didn't know about until he told
me. My son-in-law conveniently forgot to mention that part! (<: The
doctor is running a multitude of blood tests (didn't they stop bleeding
people decades ago??). He seems to think that some of my medication
in conjunction with the nitro caused my blood pressure to drop suddenly
causing me to pass out. The seizure could have been a TIA (or mini-
stroke) or possibly a blood clot. The other possibility is that nothing
will show up on the tests and we'll never know exactly what happened.
As long as it doesn't happen again, I can live with that. (<: In the
meantime he has discontinued some of my meds temporarily and lessened
others. Generally he said that I'm in excellent health and that my
meds have worked well for me for a lot of years but it may be time for
a few changes.
He asked how I felt and I told him I felt like a piece of play doh that
someone threw against the wall!! He always fusses at me for making
jokes about my health but I think he really likes it! As long as he
keeps telling me about things I have to live with----well that's ok---
if he ever says I have something I have to learn to die with, well
maybe then I won't make jokes. Yeah, I'll still joke about it, what
the heck, we only go around once, why not enjoy the ride. (<:
I do have to work on the stress. Most days I feel like a cat with
every hair standing on end. So, ok, I'll work on that, maybe fabric
softener?? No, wet cats aren't nice!! (<:
I hope all of you have a great day because you're great people. Keep
some laughter in your life, it really is the best medicine.
Love to all
Alice
