There are other resources for your daughter. Once she is 18 whether she is
partially disabled or totally doesn't matter. She should be eligible for
SSI(Social Supplemental Income) through the Social Security Administration.
She will also be able to get Medicaid. I started receiving SSI and Medicaid
as soon as I turned 18. I stayed on it until age 22 when I graduated from
college and got my first job.
Another resource is DVR(Department of Vocational Rehabilitation). They
completely paid for my college education, books, supplies, and an electric
scooter to get around campus.
