Hello Everyone,
Sabryna is in school today! The past weekend was not pain-free, but
she is improved from last week. Saturday night was a little rough.
I think maybe she played a little too much with her two younger brothers
She's a little mother hen, especially with Cameron the baby, and her
Mom and Dad have a hard time stopping her from carrying him around.
Toting a 40 pound mini sumo wrestler on your hip isn't easy when you're
grown. (<:
We are pursuing getting her into the Shriners Hospital (or clinic).
Now we just have to wait for the application process to work it's way
through the maze of red tape. Gunny recommended St Judes in Memphis
and that's another option we hadn't thought of.
Sometimes you just have a 'feeling' about things. That's where we are
now, her Mom and I both think there is more here than we know about.
Even the doctors are a little hesitant to state absolutely that
scoliosis would cause the swelling and pain she was having. It's not
gone completely and she still hurts a lot at night interfering with
her sleep.
All of you have been so supportive and will never know how much you
are appreciated. I know a child in pain touches us down deep where
we really live, but so many of you have gone beyond the usual concern
and compassion.
Sabryna asked me to tell those of you who wrote her that she will
answer your letters. It's difficult for her to sit in one position
for very long without hurting. I wonder how she handled being in
class today.
Sorry to be so late in writing today, those of you who fussed at me
can relax now. (<:
Have a great day
Alice
