beautiful attitude. Your family is lucky to have
you--and we're lucky that you have shared your
story.
Your statement that you didn't ask "why me" but
"why not me" is the same way I dealt with the
disease. Self-pity does not allow you to work at
getting better. I admire that you have made the pro-
gress you have and I believe you were able to make
the improvements because you had the right attitude
and the desire to continue to be independent.
Gail should print your letter and give it to her mother.
Maybe it will shake her out of her state of depression.
