As my doctors were trying to determine between
GB and TM my paralysis was going up and the
involvement of bladder/bowel initially pointed to
TM but had it been GB the use of steroids would
not have done one thing toward stopping the pro-
gression, thus the caution and multiple testing
prior to start of IV solumedrol. I still was diagnosed
on the day that I went to hospital following loss of
legs and I appreciate the care taken with my diag-
nosis.
