Several postings ago, I suggested that the TMIC should designate a
spokesperson to contact Mr. Ruff, the goal to find out a little more
about his condition (it seems very TMish) and to see if he would be
interested in providing, if not advocacy, at least a measure of
publicity and awareness of TM. Although I haven't really received any
direct response from you, I don't think that the suggestion fell on
deaf ears.
I would like to propose that Gunny be selected as spokesperson to
approach Mr. Ruff. He is serious, sincere, and well-spoken, seems to
have the capacity to travel (if necessary), and as I understand it,
has some experience working with his congressman, NIH, and NORD on TM
issues.
I'm not sure how to go about an e-mail vote - if there's an official
process or not - or whether a vote is even necessary. I assume that
an e-mail back to the list with a yea or nay is the way to do it.
Please advise your thoughts!
Thanks.
