Some of you know and some of you don't that in my youth I used to be a
drummer. With the weather being unpredictable around here, and not being able
to get out and ride a horse to do the saddle therapy, which I think is a good
idea, I set up my drums. Took awhile but I did it. My balance is back to the
point where I can sit on the throne (Stool), and not fall off. You don't know
what a feeling this is, anyway, I put on some tunes and started to play. One
specifically you may or amy not know is the first record we ever did called
Rama Lama Ding Dong back in 1958. At first it was rough, but I got it down. I
sat there listening and recalled all the recording sessions, and the final
take that got it done. In my head I was sitting in the studio, playing. I
could see the guys, the Techs, everybody. In my mind I was back in 1958. Guess
what, it all came back. I sit here every day and do this, and balance is
almost perfect. What I'm eluding to is, put it in your mind that you can do
it, and who knows, maybe you can. You don't know until you try. I tried and it
worked. If you can get up, then do it, if you can move then do it, if you can
walk, then do it, if you can sing, sing, do whatever you can do, and you'll
see, eventually it will come back. May not seem like a big deal to a lot of
people but it made me feel good. Just thought I'd share that with ya.
