Gail,
I believe that it is something in the autoimmune system and it is
hereditary.
All on my father's side of the family
My father--leukemia
His sister--Hodgkin's Disease
Another sister's daughter--Hodgkin's Disease
Another sister's daughter--rheumatoid arthritis
Another sister--fibromyalgia
Her son--MS
Me--TM
My older sister(13 mo)-- MS(diagnosed last year)
My younger sister(5 yrs)--trigeminal neuralgia
My father's father--Parkinson's
Family History:
My grandparents on my father's side:
8 girls--1 boy(my father)
33 grandchildren
I don't know how many descendants from the grandchildren or great
grandchildren. All I can say is that I have a hell of a lot of
relatives!
It would take a government grant to find how many more have the
defective autoimmune system.
