Welcome to the group. I was diagnosed with TM in August 1998. I have
continued to improve slowly since the onset. I still have the burning and in
my right hand and arm and my right foot and leg. The muscle spasms come and
go with me. I have noticed my symptoms are worse at night and worse if I am
exposed to cold air. My electric blanket feels wonderful at night right now.
I live in Virginia and the nights are in the 30's or 20's here now.
My right side is mostly still affected by the TM. I have burning and numbness
in my back on the right side from time to time. Some of the temperature
sensations have returned to my right hand and arm and at times my right foot.
I feel very thankful that I have recovered as much as I have in such a short
time. Prayer and a positive attitude have helped me tremendously. I have had
a lot of people praying for me since I became ill.
I have learned more from this website than I ever learned from my neuro - who
basically knew next to nothing about TM. I did tell him about this website in
hopes that he can tell other patients and maybe read some of the postings
himself.
This is a great group of people.
