One more comment about pain meds - there have been several studies done that
indicate that morphine is not addictive if the patient is in pain. I don't
have the references, but Dr. Dean Edel has discussed this several times on
his radio program. Don't know if this holds true for other addictive pain
medications. Also, there have been studies shown that people heal faster if
pain is controlled. I beleive this to be true, since I know how exhausting
pain can be. Just my two cents - Ann
