Hi all~

This link was on a travel newsletter my husband and I receive, so I thought
I'd pass it along. I have not checked the link yet, so I don't know what all
is on it. but it sounds like it would have some good tips.

Accessible/Disabled Travel
There are nearly 50 million disabled folks in the United States - that's 1/5th
of the population. And nearly 75% of that number are considered (and consider
themselves to be) travelers.

Even though these numbers would put disabled travelers solidly in the
mainstream, it hasn't always been easy for disabled travelers to get access to
services that other Americans take for granted. The Americans with
Disabilities Act changed all that, at least with respect to the law.

Travel can still be tricky for disabled folks, but it's getting better. The
travel industry is waking up to the special needs of disabled travelers, hence
our new section
Disabled/Accessible Travel, which includes tips, loads of Web links to the
best sites, our Message Boards, guidebook recommendations, and more.
