there are people with this disease-tranverse myelitis

Hi,
I was just diagnosed with TM in Jan 98. I just found this listing with all the
info on TM. I do not have time to go into detail right now, but since my first
diagnose of TM I have not had a recurrence. the first sign I had something
like a vibrating numb like sensation that would run down my back whenever I
bend my neck down. Then a month later my right arm would go numb whenever I
did any kind of fast pace walking or exercising. Finally to make a long story
short, I was sent to a neurologist , I had my first MRI which showed a lesion
in my spine ( I can't remember the exact place, somewhere in the neck
area).Then another MRI , a lot of blood tests, some kind of eye-brain activity
test, and a spinal tap, which was the final test which showed TM . And while
all of this was going on I found out I was pregnant. I might sound like I took
all this calmly, but actually I was badly devastated. Extremely devastated
!!!!!!!!! Well, I had a healthy 7lb baby and its been a year since my
diagnoses. I've been truly blessed and pray that I never get another
recurrence. But in the meanwhile I need to know and communicate with people
who has or know something about this disease.
