I saw a Health Diary (PBS) program today that had a segment on a woman
athlete (Deanna something) who suddenly became disabled, her legs
totally paralyzed, from possibly an infection of the spinal cord, or she
thinks, a back injury. Sounds familiar, huh? She retrained her upper
body, and now competes as a cyclist with a special cycle.

If you're interested, the transcript is available through their web
site, http:\\www.healthdiary.com. It's listed as mobility-impaired
athlete, or disabled athlete (my memory doesn't seem too revved today).
It's probably the only topic with athlete in the title, definitely not
hard to find.
