Introduction

I guess this is as good a time as any to introduce myself. I learned
about this site 2 years ago right after I was Dx. I did not have a
computer, so when my brother came to visit he would take me to the
internet cafe,[in my wheel chair] so that I could read your messages.
This was a lifesaver ! However, this Christmas my children got Web TV
for me, so here I am. I read ALL the messages, but have been afraid to
respond......afraid of the computer mostly!!!!!! I was Dx 12-10-96,
T-6. My right side was primarily affected. Was bedridden about 2 weeks,
then a wheelchair for about 6 weeks, then a cane. Returned to work 2
hrs. a day in March '97 and gradually got to 8 hrs. a day July '98.
PT 3x a week first 6 months then water therapy 2x a week for 3 months.
I now walk unassisted,[with a limp!!!!!] unless it is icy. [Yes, parts
of Calif. have ice!!!!!.] Then I use my trusty cane.
Guess this is enough for now.
