Michelle,

>From what I have read, Baclofen is the drug of choice
for spinal cord related spacticity. Oral Baclofen sent me
into clinical depression, so I switched to Neurontin.
Neurontin is intended for brain related spacticity and
didn't help me in the very short [= unfair trial] time
I was on it. I am now on Zanaflex, 20 mg/day. Zanaflex
is no panacea, but when I miss a dose I am punished, so
it must be working a lot better than nothing. There are
side effects: as a sleeping pill, Zanaflex is superb
[grin], and it dried out every tissue.

This weekend I decided to have a Baclofen pump installed.
My neuro recommended it, so did several people on this
list, and the article referenced on our web site tipped
the decision.

Alton, with the isometrically exercising legs.
