Barb:

I agree 100%. I don't mind answering questions when
they are not being answered for the 100th time. The
fact that people don't take the time or do not take the
initiative to read the archives is perplexing. I know there
are emergencies and people need a quick answer and
then I try to be one of the first to answer.

I was under the impression that we had an information
exchange discussion going. One of our primary outcomes
seems to be as a support for one another and to share
what information we have. I was not aware that we were
to serve as a research body for others who have a singular
question unless it is something we already have. Not everyone
in the group are computer experts and using search engines
and burnulein search commands is not a part of their forte.
Asking a question like what kind of walker should I get is like
asking what shade of blue is the sky ?? It all depends.
I have three different walkers and each is used in a different
situation so some of these questions need to be specific rather
than just general. Having a competent OT around helps in making
decisions when it comes to selecting adaptive devices.

I truly enjoy being a part of the tmic-list and have been for
the nearly 2 years that I've been a part of it. We have had our
disagreements at times but we are all (or almost all) are still
present and messaging the same way we have all along. I don't
see nor would I advocate any change from what we have been
successfully doing for 2 years.

Happy New Year and know that I care.
