Huh - strange title - but I'm reading Christopher Reeves "still me"
autobiography and I must say it's very good and has put my leg sensations
well into perspective and I know I'm lucky to have the control of bodily
functions that I do have and even though the sensation disappears totally
sometimes (at the moment) I know at some point in the next couple of days
I'll be making progress again. Whereas Chris after 7 months of not
breathing by himself has just found the strength to breath 30 mins without
his ventilator - he baffled the doctors not even being able to move the
needle to over the -0c.c and then in 5 days he was breathing 540 c.c of air-
I know this probably doesn't make much sense if you haven't read the book
but he's recovery for this was 7 months with nothing and then all of a
sudden within 5 days he'd done so well so what I guess I'm trying to say is
nothing happens for awhile and however small something may be like wiggling
your toe it's a great start.......

So with all your help and of the Still Me book I have had a great
motivational boost - I still get scarred of silly things like new symptoms -
mine has been my hands tingling and pains in my arms (I did have not had
this before) and my husband is coming down with the flu virus that is
hitting Britain at the moment so I keep telling him and anyone else with a
virus to stay away - I know if I'm gonna get it then well I can't stop it
put I'm going for the prevention being the best policy - but through all of
this I know I'm one of the lucky ones!!!!!!
