Mary, Jan H here. I started taking Neurontin in June
at 900 mg per day. In Novemeber, my neuro jumped
me up to 1200/day. I still have some freeze/burning
but it is not as intense as it was prior to taking this.
He had told me that the discomfort sometimes is worse
during the heat of the year and that I might be able to
quit taking this in the winter, but not at this time do I
want to try to go without. In January he said that a
couple of new drugs with fewer side-effects(Neurontin
has the fewest to date) are going to be put on the mar-
ket and he is going to try them with me. We'll see.
I do think that I have regained more 'feeling' since I have
been on N...and that's 2+ years after tm onset.
