> JackieHi Jackie, Joellen here. I bought a new pair of athletic shoes this
summer, They are Nikes and the insole comes out to give you more room in
the foot box, that may give you more room for the brace insert. Also
they have higher sides which gives more ankle support. They can be
laced loosely if necessary. I found these at a Lady Footlocker store in
my area, of course I don't walk right now but you might want to check
them out anyway to see if they fit you needs, also have you thought of a
lace up moccasin boot? they would streatch better and could give you
the support you need, some that I have seem have soles on them (not just
a slipper bottom). Joellen
