Dear Costas,
Eighteen years ago I was working 80 to 90 hours and had come the
place that I could not sleep or to slow down. I was pastoring three
churches and was under a lot of stress due to some strong personalities.
I had the signs of Tm a week before the paralysis when a very severe
back pain started in my low back and aother next to my right shoulder
blade. A week later I had very bad chest pain about six o clock in the
morning, an hour later I could not turn off the water faucet with my
left hand. By the next morning I was paralyzed from the chest down . C-7
was the location of my TM. This was determined by spinal tape and
myelgram by a noted nuerosurgeon. They called te cause a virus, I had
one doctor who took a lot of time with me and put me on 1500 units of
Vitamin C every eight hours for 8 weeks IV. He and I agreed that it was
burning the candle on both ends and some thing had to give. I am just
thankful that it was not my mind. I still have residual effects , but I
can walk with crutches or a cane and I have a working arrangement with
bladder and bowels so that accidents are rare. I can drive with an
automatic and I have a lift in the trunk of my car for my scooter so I
have a considerable degree of mobility. Well so much for that I didn't
intend to tell my whole story. Drs. said virus, I say stress and over
work..

Ken who is thankful for little changes in TM.
