Connie, JanH here. I don't know who told you that
the 1st four months were when you would see the most
progress. They did you a great disservice!!! That puts
the wrong thoughts in your head--most people were given
a two year window--I was lucky that my neuro did not tell
me anything so I came away from the hospital expecting
to return to my old self and my recovery has been pretty
good. The only thing he told me wouldn't likely come back
was my temperature control (always cold where was para-
lyzed and hot above that point)and he was right!
Let Alan know that he has all the time in the world to repair--
he just needs to think positively and continue the exercises!
