Hi Nancy and All'
This is Connie, who writes for her son Alan.
Being a nurse I'm wondering if you don't have a gastro-intestinal
irritation. The pain behind the breast bone could be stomach
irritation. When the whole tract is irritated it can cause bouts of
diarrhea. Have you tried anti-acids or Pepcid? I think your physician
could tell you by phone what would be good to try. Being new to TM, I
can't tell you if this may be a result of the TM, but I would try some
medications first to see if they may help.
Alan's problem is more constipation, if suppositories don't work he has
to remove it manually, and then gets very sore. He has tried stool
softeners, but they seem to cause him to have accidents all day long,
and that is not good when you work! He has cut back on liquids, so he
wouldn't have to cath so frequently, and of course; that does not help
the bowels. If anyone has any good suggestions to help with this it
would be apreciated.
Let me take this opportunity to wish all of you Gods richest blessings
through the holidays and always---I continue to keep you all in my
prayers.----Connie
