for the time being, ive been diagnosed with TM. id never heard of TM before,
so im trying to learn as much about it now as i can. what a relief to see all
of the talk back and forth. reading some of the posts, i know i have it
mildly. considering how much i freaked out at my symptoms, with those of you
who faired worse, i am SO impressed with your state of mental health.

about 2 months ago, i lost a varying degree of sensitivity in my hands,
abdomen, hips, and legs. i actually "burned" part of a finger when i was
putting up christmas lights and the filaments from a broken bulb, still part
of the strand that was plugged in, were somehow jammed into my finger. took a
little while to figure it out, but good thing im not ENTIRELY numb. also,
when i bend my neck (bow my head), i experience a feeling of "electrical
shock" throughout my entire body below my neck. something my doc called
"Lherittes Phenomenon". anybody else got that one?? Though i havent had the
spinal tap yet, i have been in the betty crocker oven several times- with and
without dye. the MRIs show something that looks like a snowman squished in
the middle of my spinal cord at C2. most likely an area of inflamation, so
the neuro says. is that what some of you mean by "lesion", or is that
something else? does this all sound familiar to any of you?

when this all happened, i spent a few weeks being VERY on edge. very freaked
out. now that i have some sort of a lead and perhaps a valid diagnosis, i
guess i just want to compare notes. anybody else experience whats called
"Lherittes Phenomenon"? and, did it go away for any of you???

and, THANKS for existing. i am SO HAPPY to find this group!
