I was wondering if anyone else has noticed that their pain, or other
uncomfortable sensations, increase with certain meds. I have
intermittent pain in my legs, long with "restless legs syndrome" type
pain, and muscle spasms. They all usually hit at the same time.
I discovered at home that Tylenol (which I take for my recurrent fevers)
seemed to trigger the sensation, esp. if I used it daily for a week or
more. This is quite inconvenient since it is the only OTC fever reducer
I can take with my intestinal problems. So I would have to precede the
Tylenol with Neurontin to help stave off the pain. Now, I have been on
Pheneregan iv q 6h for the nausea associated with my Pancreatitis, as
well as Demerol IV (pca pump). The Phenergan has just started to
trigger the symptoms, so now I am having to take ativan IV q 4 hours to
keep me confortable. btw, I cannot take the Neurontin as I am not
allowed anything by mouth.
I take the Phenergan for nausea since the other option I had, anapsine,
caused other, equally distressing, symptoms.
I was just wondering of anyone else has experienced the drug induced
symptoms...it really took me by surprise.
