neurontin

Hi I've been on neurontin for a little over a year.Dr ordered it for
"pain",although I'm numb and only feel a deep tightness and burning that
is worse when I overdo.Apparently that is how my body interprets pain
due to the nerve damage. Unfortunately,I will have to go off
the med because of insurance changes.I am on medicare disability and an
HMO called Harvard Pilgrim First Seniority.Up till now,drug coverage was
unrestricted.But starting Jan 1st they will only cover $800 a year
total-$200 per quarter retail.The neurontin alone is $287 per
quarter!!All together,my meds will be $480 a quarter.So,the neurontin
has to go.That's why I asked for info about neurotone earlier this
month.Now I just need to find out if it can be taken with my other
meds. I looked up the neurontin in a drug reference book.It
did say that mental changes can occur,but was not specific.Does anyone
have a PDR to look it up? Thanks to all,Cheryl who is 52 and
will become a great grandma next summer!!
