Most people have heard the expression, "that just burns me up." I heard an
explanation of just how accurate that statement is. When someone or
something gets to us so bad that we become agitated, tense, or angry, it
takes a physical toll on us. In effect, to some degree, it really does burn
us up. To make matters worse, the person that caused the situation is
probably not even affected by our internal turmoil. They may get to us, but
we have to allow them to win the victory of "burning us up."
Don't give 'em the pleasure. TMers are tougher than that.
