If this is ok, I will have my friend print it and mail it for me asap
**To Whom it may concern,
I have had Transverse Myelitis for three years, yet I was only diagnosed in the
past few months.
I believe I went undiagnosed (and therefor untreated) for this long because it is
such an
ôunknownö condition among the medical community. I have been in a wheelchair for
three
years, and have recently been hospitalized for several months as the TM appears to
be targeting
my GI system and Pancreas as well. This has left me with a permanent feeding tube
and the
prospect of having Pancreatic surgery, which can only be done in a state far from
my home.
I am writing to ask for your help in researching this crippling condition. There
is so much we do
not know yet... we with TM are left with many questions, no answers, and an
uncertain future atbest. There desperately needs to be more research done into
the causes and treatment of Transverse Myelitis so that our doctors can give us
more than a shrug of the shoulders and a sympathetic pat on the back.
Sincerely,
Mykella Ribble
