Maria ~
I received your private email regarding the new medication your doctor
gave you today....and I tried to reach you by phone to no avail....DO
NOT TAKE THE ULTRAM. You have epilepsy and this stuff CAUSES SEIZURES.
Good grief....don't some of these doctors read their Physicians Desk
References?
Call me tonight.....COLLECT IS FINE!!
Love you, your adopted mom, Lynn

Carol and Mom,
I read up on this med also and my feelings are this. Considering my seizures
are uncontrolled and there is a high risk factor with this med causing
seizures. There is also only a 2% or less chance of ANY med ever working for
me in controling my seizures, I think I'll pass on this one too.
Carol, as helpful as this med is for you, it would not be for me due to these
circumstances. My epilepsy is bi-lateral temporal lobe and considered
uncontrolled. I have been on every anti-convulsant available to date, hence
the % rate combined with the location of the seizure activity. I am already
taking Zoloft, low dosage, which could possiby increase my seizure activity
BUT hasn't so far, so Lynn is right in saying this is not a good med for me
and that the neuro surgeon should be aware of this. He does have a manual to
look through and should take the time with me considering how many meds I take
because of the epilepsy. She does have an advantage though in that we talk on
the phone once a week and knows more about me and my disorder than most on the
list.
Again, I truly do apreciate everyone's input here. You will never know how
much!

Hugs to ALL!

Maria in Tonawanda who is calling Mom RIGHT NOW!!! LOL!
