In Queensland, a couple of us have started a TM interest group thus lending
support to each and any new sufferers. We currently meet usually on a
monthly basis under the facilitation of Ian Hawkins, who when he contacted
me about setting up a group, again I am happy to be in it. Our group has
started a campaign to advertise to our Medico's through a body called the
Australian Medical Association, just what TM is about. My GP, who is
switched on to my needs, has a partner who is the current president of the
AMA, so we are hope full of some knowledge being shared.
Any way I dare say we shall keep you informed of progress. In our
Paraplegic & Quadriplegic Association magazine called "Paraview" we have had
articles featured about TM, courtesy of TMA. These can be accessed via
www.pqaq(AT)gil.com.au and just click on to newsletters. Most of the site is
"under construction" but progressing well. We are having a meeting
tomorrow 10 December 1998, last for the year, so I shall mention the letter
request there also.
Enough rambling from me for now, let's know if you think correspondence from
here will aid the cause. Keep Safe and God Bless.
Kind Regards from Errol, Narangba Qld Australia. ( Where summer has
arrived).
