Meds causing nightmares??

Hello All,
I have a question and I hope one of you good folks out there has experienced
this before also.
I have been having nightmares for 2 weeks, maybe a bit more, now. Last night
was the worst. It woke both of my children up and they came into bed with me
as they thought I was having a seizure but soon realized I was having another
nightmare. Of course these are disturbing my sleep.
Want to talk with you all before calling the neuro, as you all are much more
informed than he and I want to make sure I am not alone in this.
The new meds I am taking are Percocet, once at night, DayPro 2x's day in the
morning, Flexerall once at night. I also take Tegretol 400mg XR 2x's day,
Topomax 100mg 3 1/2 x's day, Zoloft 100mg once at night. The Topomax was just
increased this month. I do not believe it is one of the side affects of this
particular med as I have been on this before and a higher dosage, but who
knows combined with the others as I have not combined all these before.
Not only am I having horrendous nightmares, my dreams are also very vivid.
Last night was the monster of all nightmares and I woke up screaming with
tears streaming down my face. I dreamed I was paralyzed from the neck down and
could feel my arms. As I was coming out of this dream, my right arm was pins &
needles in the worse way. As I was waking I realized I was sleeping on my
right side, HUGE no no for me as that is the side I am affected on the most by
the herniated disk. Hence the pins and needles and numbness I was experiencing
in my dream and reality as I was waking. Of course there are more details, but
as I became more aware, I really could not move my arms because of the pain.
If anyone has experienced this, please share with me as I would appreciate
your information if you have any.
Maria in Tonawanda who is not liking sleep anymore! :(
