I have yet another question. I did something to my left knee yesterday (have
no idea what -- just started hurting while going upstairs) and it is hurting a
lot today. My right knee is the one I have the excessive tingling in at times,
and it has started tingling, I think because I'm bending it when I go up and
down stairs rather than the hurting one. I had a tingling episode a few weeks
ago that made me almost unable to use the stairs at all. (I DO hope our next
house has no stairs!!!) We were supposed to go somewhere today (a humongous
craft show that I've been looking forward to for ages and had planned to do
some Christmas shopping at) that requires a lot of walking. We decided to put
it off til tonight or tomorrow. I don't know, for both knees, whether it would
be best to try to stay off them as much as possible or whether to try to walk
around and work them even more. Of course, it wouldn't be the end of the world
if I didn't get to go, but it would be a disappointment. But even beyond this
activity, I have often wondered about this, because sometimes moving or
working particular muscles makes symptoms flare up even more, and I've never
known whether to work through it or stop. Usually any kind of flare-up dies
back down to what's "normal" for me within a few hours or days, so I usually
just wait it out. I'd appreciate hearing the wisdom of your experience! :-)
