Al shares the excitement of something returning!!!! As he was preparing
for bed the other night he was able to wiggle his left great toe. He
got so excited he called the whole family to come see---he said he never
thought he would ever be so excited over just wiggling a toe.
As you know from his letter, Al was home for Thanksgiving. It was so
nice to see him here, but it still breaks my heart to see him try to
walk with his crutches, though greatful he has progressed to that point.
He refuses to use the chair except at work or if outside. We think he
is making progress, but he has to walk very slow. It seems he has to
concentrate so hard to make those legs go forward---something those of
us without TM take for granted. Al also tried driving the other day on
their trip home--they left Fri. when the traffic was not so heavy--just
drove a short while--- said it really felt good. Does anyone know,--will
he have to take a driving test before he drives again??
Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
My prayers remain with you all,
Mom Connie
