I would like to give some of you some encouragement regarding the recovery
process. . . .I have made significant changes since stepping away some from
conventional western medicine. Movement techniques life Feldenkrais, Tai Chi,
herbal supplements, aquatic therapy and staying as active as I can tolerate
have pushed me to my limit. I have been told that I do not have MS, so I am
exercising to the point of being tierd. . .just as I did prior to TM. I go to
the park. . .walk with my wheelchair and then sit and get pushed when I am
tierd. I go places I don't think I can handle, just to try them out. I even
had a friend stay with me and we had (4) boys sleep over in a tent in the
backyard, following a day of park activities and the movies. I never thought
I'd make it, but today I feel great. I feel as though I am getting back into
life. Don't get me wrong. . .I still do PT 3 times a week and OT 2 times a
week. However FUNCTIONAL ACTIVITIES matter to be much more than if I lift a
weight a few more repetitions. I'd rather be able to set up a tent! It is
hard, but I have to try. I keep thinking of the children's book, "The Little
Engine That Could." When I think I'll need assistance, I ASK. I never would
have before, but I can do so much more with the help of others. God Bless all
of you. And remember, God is in control, with your help! Love to all. .
