I think others have told you that the rate
and success of recovery vary by the individual,
but FWIW, here is my terse history.
Initially paralyzed waist down
After 3 months, legs moving but useless
After 8 months, few steps/day with a walker
After 10 months, starting crutches
After 16 months, a few free steps; good leg
almost normal, bum leg not trustworthy.
Future --- bum foot will need a brace; spasm &
sensory problems
