I hope I spelled it correctly. This is the proper name
for a "disc removal". Usually the disc isn't actually removed, just the
gel inside. Think of the disc as a
sofa cushion; they suck out the stuffing and leave the
cover. The vertibrae still articulate. Now when they fuse
the vertibrae, they might remove the entire disc; I dunno.
I had suffered for twenty years before I had the operation.
A month later I was able to pick up a sack of grain and
carry it easily. No more pain. Should have done it years
earlier.
