Hi All,
I never received an answer when I wrote this.

Today I was reading once again the many different stories about ATM members dx
and recovery. I realize that though many are and were in a wheelchair they
were from the beginning able to walk with an aid of a walker or a crouches or
a cane. How many were paralyzed unable to walk only with the aid of body
braces, and a walker and then crutches finally did walk without the aid of the
back body braces. It is 10 months since my grandson was dx with ATM. He is
paralyzed from the waist down. It is difficult for him to stand up straight
without the aid of his body braces. His physiotherapist recently said he is
getting more strength and his muscles are coming back and they will soon be
able to disconnect the back brace making it able for him to walk more at home.
His Physcial therapist the other day also said the same thing the other day.
But as of today they have not done so. You see he only walks at therapy with
the braces and at home for a while every with his father, Has anyone fully
recovered that has the same conditions as my grandson? I do read that 2 years
later many are fully recovered but they did walk from the beginning not good
but were able to walk with a walker and without body braces. Please help!
Thanks

Lillian
