Not having read all the archived posts to find out what has gone before, I
contacted the NIH National Organization of Rare Disorders (NORD) after I
checked their list and found that TM was not on the list. I recieved a reply
from Steve Groft who said that they plan to add TM to the list soon. He also
referred me to Dr. Bruce Weinshenker at Mayo Clinic. Dr. Weinshenker is
doing a study of patients with TM. Steve also suggested that I might want to
suggest that my Johns Hopkins neuro contact Dr. Weinshenker. I would think
that Hopkins' neuros are aware of research and studies at other major
institutions, but I don't want to assume that to be the case. Some of you
might want to share this information with your own neuro. Dr. Weinshenker's
phone number is 507-284-2511.
