diagnosis?

Group,
I went yesterday to see my neuro. He still will not say "yes, you have TM".
He says, "I am afraid that you may have TM, but I am not sure". I did ask if
my slighlty bulging disk at C-5 , S-1 would cause all my symptoms, and he did
reply with a definite "No". He also said that I do definetily have a problem
with my spinal cord. I think he is the kind of Dr who is overly cautious.
Maybe it is also because my symptoms are not severe. So, he talked to me
about going to Mayo for a diagnosis if I want, but it seems to me that I
should be able to get a second opinion from someone in town. I just don't
understand with the symptoms I have that he can't commit (and I can't even
send him to neuro land). It is not that I want TM, I just want to know what
the hell is wrong with me! As far as I am concerned -- I have it.

He was going to prescribe neurontin for the buzzy legs, but I reminded him
that he also mentioned zoloft to me and that I would rather take that because
of its added benefits. So that is what I am taking. My first one this
morning. I am a bit tired and foggy, but I had a long week so it may not be
from the drugs. I know others are taking zoloft, which they mention for
depression, but that is not what my Dr primarily prescribed it for.

I am supposed to see him again in about 3 weeks to see how the drugs and I are
doing, then he is going to schedule another MRI to see if there is any change
in my lesion. I am afraid that this is just the begninning of MS. (The woman
who lived in the house before we bought it got MS. I think it's cursed!) He
has not prescribed any more PT. He said that will not make the tingling go
away. I am trying to do some things at home, like yoga. I plan to get the
bands from Gunny too.

I am just venting. I am not sure exactly what my next step is.

Nancy, who has found frustation not only in the disease, but in dealing with
the neuros.
