re: vertigo/low blood-pressure

I still have about 80 emails to read but feel lousy tonight so thought I'd
just post and go to bed and read more tomorrow.

I went to a bar where lots of people form the company I work for go every
Thursday. I had a couple beers and the room began to spin. I can
(unfortunately) drink many people under the table so this was most unusual. I
thought I had been drugged. My husband and my son came to pick me up and took
me to the emergency room. I had to ride in the car with my head between my
legs to avoid vomitting (already had done that about 5 or 6 times before hubby
arrived to rescue me). They did a drug screen and some blood work and the
final dx was virtigo/minieres (spelling??) disease. My mother has had vertigo
problems for years (off and on) with very similar symptoms. Has anyone else
experienced this or is it probably totally unrelated to the TM?

My blood pressure has always been quite low (although it was 165/85 in the
hospital last night). It is not unusual at all for me to be 90 to 110 over 57
(57 is the number that comes up most frequently). My neuro told me that went
along with people who have migraines (which I do). My body temp is always
lower than average, too. 97.4 is my usual. It was 97.1 last night.

I just took some Dramamine because I'm still dizzy and nauseated. I'm goin'
ta bed (as we say here in TX). I am also experiencing that God-awful skin
pain (where even the clothes on your body kill ya) and I can't type well or
spell well (seems to always happen on my worst TM days - go from 110
words/minute to about 20 non-words!!)

Love and thoughts and prayers to all!
